Securing Indigenous Potlatch Performances Under Federal Copyright Law
Holds formal copyright registrations for hundreds of original Indigenous works and cultural expressions under the Group Registration of Unpublished Works (GRUW) provision of the United States Copyright Office (certified under 17 U.S.C., Registration No. SRu 1-638-615).
This copyright umbrella protects authentic audio recordings and musical arrangements performed during traditional potlatches—the ceremonial feasts of Pacific Northwest Coast Indigenous peoples where host leaders share abundance through song, dance, and valuable gift distributions.
Autonomous Medical Device System for Critical Caregiver Governance
Context & Implementation: Serving as full-time Attorney-in-Fact and primary caregiver on nocturnal shifts for a parent with permanent disability and terminal illness across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Governed life support protocols, emergency surgeries, 100+ weekly prescriptions, and legal insurance appeals.
Invention Architecture: Designed, built, and deployed an autonomous medical device system (U.S. 63/946,505) that successfully averted expected mortality under acute physiological distress.
Regulatory & Sovereign Clearance: Leveraged 21 CFR § 812.2(c) for strict FDA investigational device compliance and secured cross-border diplomatic visas for worldwide device transport and clearance. Testified on statutory caregiving gaps before the Virginia Courts of Justice and Maryland General Assembly.
Patent Portfolio AI Indigenous Health Insurance Auditor
Architecture & Scope: Invented a USPTO-compliant patent portfolio AI auditor engineered specifically to detect and remediate systemic reimbursement disparities and institutional non-compliance across Indigenous and rural healthcare delivery networks.
Federal Regulatory Impact: The algorithmic auditing outcomes and empirical evidence were formally incorporated and cited in the Federal Register Vol. 91 on the final ruling of a 6-year Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) bill mandating elevated Rural Health Clinic standards nationwide.
